The automobile bonnet or wing is obtained by pressing a plane steel sheet not requiring large distortions. It is constituted of two shaped pieces (1,2), having a thickness between 0.25 and 0.35 mm, the first obtained by pressing a sheet to form the external skin. The second piece (2), obtained from a sheet of identical shape to the first piece, so as to fit it perfectly, is provided with ribs (3). The second piece is fixed to the first piece by a glue layer uniformly distributed on all its surface. The glue totally fills the cavities formed by the ribs. The ribs are oriented in the second piece so that when the piece is installed on the vehicle they are in the vehicle longitudinal direction. The layer of glue in the zones of the second piece not having ribs has a thickness between 0.25 and 0.35 mm. The glue is an epoxide liquid resin without solvents using a hardener and foaming agent. |
