PURPOSE: To provide a display device capable of displaying image data with an arbitrary magnification. CONSTITUTION: The resolving power of image data 1 inputted through a synchronizing signal 11 is detected by a detecting circuit 2, magnification is set in an enlarging circuit 5 considering the ratio to a display panel 9 and a first arithmetic circuit 4, complementing the image data with a continuous dot unit by using the magnification 51 in an effective displaying period 31 identified by the synchronizing signal 11 in an identifying circuit 3, is controlled by a control circuit 6. Consequently, the control circuit 6 controls a second arithmetic circuit 8 so as to complement the continuous image data 1 for two lines read out from a frame memory 7, after storing the image data 1 magnified by the first arithmetic circuit 4 for one screen in the frame memory 7, and display the image data 1 complemented by the second arithmetic circuit 8 on the display panel 9. |
