PURPOSE: To reduce power consumption without displeasing a user by changing the rotary speed of a compressor and setting a suction setting temperature accompanied by a radiant heat assumed by the operation time of an air conditioner and a suction temperature during the starting time. CONSTITUTION: The suction temperature of an indoor unit in an air conditioner is measured with a means 1 while the suction temperature measured when starting the operation is stored with a means 2. On one hand, the setting temperature of a room temperature is stored with a means 3 while the amount of conversion is stored with a means 4. The elapse time from operation starting is measured with a means 5. Furthermore, the amount of conversion of setting temperature is changed over based on the suction temperature during operation starting, the setting temperature and the elapse time from the operation starting, thereby determining the suction setting temperature of the room temperature. The number of operations of a compressor stored in a means 7 is changed based on a final value and an estimated value of the suction setting temperature. |
