PURPOSE: To reproduce a center channel signal in which an image and a video coincide with each other by attenuating the sound pressure level in the neighborhood of specific frequency of a main loudspeaker provided underneath a TV set and reproducing a specific band area by a sub loudspeaker on the upper side of the TV set as an indirect sound CONSTITUTION: In a sound wave emitted from a center channel signal reproducing device in figure (a), a sound in the neighborhood of 6.3kHz is scarsely included in an emitted sound (arrowhead A) from the main loudspeaker 1a in which a direct sound is a subject by a dip circuit 1c as shown in figure (b). Therefore, a sound source in the vertical direction of the emitted sound from the main loudspeaker 1a is hard to recognize in point of audio sense. Also, the emitted sound from the sub loudspeaker 1b provided with prescribed frequency characteristic is reflected on the rear wall of the TV set 5 like arrowhead A', and it is reproduced as the indirect sound. The sound source position of the indirect sound is originally hard to recognize. Consequently, the sound source of a reproduced sound is hard to recognize, and the sound source positions in the vertical direction are recognized ambiguously, and the image and the video coincide with each other by a visual priority effect, and a reproduced sound with superior sound quality can be obtained. |
