PURPOSE: To make the receiver be immune to noise and to improve reliability by maintaining the pulse width or pulse interval of a received signal. CONSTITUTION: A pulse measuring means 3 measures length (pulse width or pulse interval) between the edges of a bit synchronizing signal. An input pulse comparing means 4 judges whether or not an error between the measured pulse width or pulse interval and previously determined pulse width or pulse interval is within a certain fixed range. When the error is outside the fixed range, an error omitting means 10 aborts one of 'maximum values' or 'minimum values' stored in a pulse storage means 5 from the memory based upon an output signal from a count pulse comparing means 9. Then the means 3 newly fetches an one-bit synchronizing signal based upon the signal and measures the pulse width or pulse interval of the inputted signal.
