NAVIGATION DEVICE WITH VOICE GUIDE

PURPOSE: To easily confirm a guide point according to a voice message on a map. CONSTITUTION: The image of map data 23 appears on a display 22 with the position of an own vehicle which is detected by an own vehicle position detection device 20 as a center. One or a plurality of guide points are set from an input device 24 on the preset driving path of a vehicle. A path searching device 25 searches a guide point where a driving vehicle is heading for from map data 23. A selection device 26 selects a message which is pre-registered at a message registration device 27. A guide point data creating part 30 creates voice data for the guide message and creates image data for displaying a map with the guide point as a center. An output timing judgment part 31 switches to the image display at the center of the guide point when the guide point on a display 22 approaches the position of an own vehicle by a certain distance on screen and further outputs a voice message from an output device 28 as a sound when the position of the own vehicle approaches the guide point.
