PURPOSE: To provide an inscribing type oil pump rotor to reduce pulsation and flow speed change. CONSTITUTION: An inner rotor 3 and an outer rotor 2 having the number of inner tooth parts 2A one tooth more than that of the outer tooth parts 3A of the inner rotor 3 mesh with each other and are incorporated in a rotor chamber under the eccentric condition. The inner rotor 3 has a trochoidal tooth shape satisfying an expression; 0.20<=R.z(π.(d1+d2)/2)<=0.30 (where z is the number of teeth of the inner rotor 3, R: mm the radius of the tooth generating circle. d1: mm the diameter of the addendum circle and d2: mm the diameter of the root circle of the tooth form). Thus, the flow speed can be reduced sufficiently to reduce pulsation, compared with that in the same number of teeth.
