PURPOSE: To make evener the distribution of the pressurizing force to a work by forming the surface connecting to the holding surface of wedges in a plane form with an inclined angle, to the surface of a pressure plate connecting to the wedges. CONSTITUTION: A load is applied to keep plates 4a and 4b by using wedges 2. A pressure plate 3 is formed in almost a rectangular form, the surfaces of the wedges 2 contacting to the pressure plate 3 are formed in a plane form parallel to the surface of the pressure plate 3 contacting to the edges 2, and the surface of the wedges 2 contacting to the second holding surface 1b is formed in a plane form with an inclined angleβto the surface of the pressure plate 3 contacting to the wedges 2. Furthermore, at both ends of the second holding surface 1b, inclined surfaces with the inclined angleβto the surface of the pressure plate 3 contacting to the wedges 2 are formed, and the condition that tan (ρ1 -β)+tanρ2 >0 (whereβis the angle made between the surface of the wedges with the second holding surface, and the surface of the pressure plate contacting to the surfaces of the wedges; P1 is the friction angle of the wedges and the holding member; and P2 is the friction angle of the wedges and the pressure plate) is satisfied.
