PURPOSE: To reduce the number of suspensions of a compressor and hence prevent a drop in a heating power by halting the operation of an auxiliary motor based on a piping temperature of an indoor heat exchanger in an air conditioner having an auxiliary heating function in an air supply circuit of an indoor side-unit. CONSTITUTION: An air conditioner is provided with an auxiliary heating function in an air supply circuit of an indoor side-unit. In this case, the output of the auxiliary motor is controlled with a heater operation control means 13. The output of the heater operation control means 13 is detected with a heater current detection means 14. On one hand, the piping temperature of a heat exchanger in an indoor unit is detected with a piping temperature detection means 15. An operation peripheral control table, which determines a compressor operation frequency in an air conditioner, is changed over with a piping temperature control table change-over means 16 to prevent an excess temperature rise in an equipment body and enhance a human indoor comfortability based on the output of the piping temperature detection means 15. At least a stop signal of the auxiliary heater is generated with a heater stop signal generation means 17. |
