PURPOSE: To detect a fine lesion part in a short processing time. CONSTITUTION: A feature quantity arithmetic circuit 14 takes a rough texture analysis by calculating the feature quantity of a large interested area(ROI) consisting of large processing units having signal intensity averaged as to a specific number of pixels obtained by a pixel averaging circuit 10 first as to an object area of texture analysis in a tomographic image, and then a processing unit size setting means in an ROI control circuit 11 reduces the size of the processing units on the basis of the result of the rough texture analysis to calculate the feature quantity of a small ROI. Further, an interest area moving means in the ROI control circuit 11 calculates a feature quantity while moving the area by several pixels corresponding to the size of the processing units to take a detailed texture analysis of an abnormal position. |
