PURPOSE: To provide a steam sterilizer which enables heat sterilization treatment at a relatively low temperature, and moreover, eliminates possible poor and uneven heating to be a cause of insufficient sterilization. CONSTITUTION: A sterilization tank 1 is provided to house an object to be sterilized, and a vacuum suction means P1 to evacuate the sterilization tank 1 and a steam line 2 to supply steam to the sterilization tank 1 during the operation of the vacuum suction means P1 are provided. Steam is supplied into the sterilization tank 1 from the steam line 2 while reducing the pressure in the sterilization tank 1 by the vacuum suction means P1 to lower a saturated steam temperature, thereby achieving a sterilization at a relatively low temperature and a prevention of poor heating and uneven heating. |
