PURPOSE: To provide a device capable of arbitrarily controlling temp. in the device in accordance with the environments of use. CONSTITUTION: This method is provided with a first stage for driving a fan motor 8 at a low speed for a first set time and keeping the temp. of a heater to be a standby temp. after the completion of picture forming operation in a picture forming device provided with a thermal fixing means and the fan motor 8 for driving a cooling fan 7, a second stage having a second set time, during which the low-speed driving of the fan motor 8 is stopped after the lapse of the first set time while including the first set time and the standby temp. is maintained, and a third stage for maintaining a power saving mode in which driving of the fan motor 8 and flowing a current through the heater 1 are stopped, and the second set time is divided into a fixed part and a variable part to arbitrarily set the variable part. |
