CARBON BLACK WITH EXCELLENT INSULATING PROPERTIES AND RUBBER COMPOSITION CONTAINING THE SAME

摘要

PURPOSE: To obtain a carbon black excellent in electrical insulating properties without detriment to its reinforcing properties by selecting a carbon black having specified physicochemical characteristics and to obtain a rubber compsn. contg. the same and having excellent insulating properties. CONSTITUTION: This carbon black has a nitrogen-adsorption specific surface area (N2 SA: m<2> /g) of 50m<2> /g or lower and a hydrogen content (H2 : ppm) satisfying the relation: (H2 )>=-36.7×(N2 SA)+5340, pref. has an aggregate size (Dst :μm) and a specific tinctorial value (Tint) satisfying the relation: (Dst ) <=-3.8×(Tint)+410, and is compounded in an amt. of 20-200 pts.wt. into 100 pts.wt. rubber to give a rubber compsn. excellent in insulating properties.
