CONSTITUTION: In a fuel supply device to regulate fuel pressure to be supplied to a fuel injection valve 8 by a pressure regulator 2, a fuel tank 1 is formed as a sealed type, and the pressure regulator 2 is arranged in the sealed fuel tank 1, and is constituted so that internal pressure Pt of the sealed fuel tank 1 or atmospheric pressure or intake air pressure can be introduced to a back pressure chamber 22 of the pressure regulator 2 through a solenoid three-way directional control valve 9 in a switching system, and is controlled by a control means 10 so that when an internal combustion engine is restarted when its temperature is less than a prescribed value, the solenoid three-way directional control valve 9 is switched to the atmospheric pressure side, and when the internal combustion engine is restarted at a high temperature, the solenoid three-way directional control valve 9 is switched to the fuel tank internal pressure side. As a result, a vapor lock at high temperature restarting time and highland high temperature restarting time is prevented, and a starting characteristic is improved.
