CONSTITUTION: This optical cross-connection device is provided with optical fibers 101 to 103 for input for propagating optical signals fk <j> (1<=k<=8, 1<=j<=3) for which the lights of different frequencies are multiplexed, photocouplers 41 to 43 for distributing the optical signals Fk <j> inputted through the optical fibers 101 to 103 for the input for the respective frequencies, optical frequency multiplex selection switches 51 to 53 for branching the optical signals inputted by the photocouplers 41 to 43 for respective optical frequencies, then selecting the optical signals of a prescribed frequency so as not to provide the overlapping of the optical frequencies for the branched optical signals and frequency multiplexing them and the optical fibers 201 to 203 for output respectively connected to the optical frequency multiplex selection switches 51 to 53.
