PURPOSE: To enable accurate control of a transfer means or an electrifying means and timely issuing of a warning on a service life, etc., as well. CONSTITUTION: A transfer high-voltage power source 11 imparts a prescribed voltage to a transfer roller 2 by a constant voltage driving circuit (C. V.) 15 driven by a signal from a D/A converter 12, a current flowing at this time is detected by a current detecting circuit 14 and processed by digital conversion with an A/D converter 13, to fetch data to a DC controller 4. The controller 4 measures m pieces of data over N timer of rotations of the transfer roller 2 and stores the measured data. The amount of each data is compared with each other and they are rearranged. An average current I is calculated from (m-n1 -n2 ) pieces of data of the remainder after subtracting n1 pieces of data from the larger data side and n2 pieces of data from the smaller data side. |
