COPOLYESTER FOR BINDER FIBER

PURPOSE: To obtain a copolyester for binder fibers showing a low-melting point and excellent crystallinity, having improved operation efficiency in formation of chips and spinning. CONSTITUTION: This copolyester for binder fiber comprises structural units of formula (1) -OC-(CH2 )2 -CO-, formula (2) -O-(CH1 )n -O- ((n) is 2 and/or 4) and formula (3) -O-(CH2 )5 -CO- in a substantially equimolar ratio of the formula (1) and the formula (2) and in the molar ratio of the formula (1) and the formula (3) of 60/40 95/5 and has >=1.0 intrinsic viscosity and 80-100 deg.C melting point.
