<p>PURPOSE: To provide a paper separating device which is simply constituted to smoothly and reliably separate paper sheets one by one without the occurrence of choking with a paper sheet and a bite of the paper sheet. CONSTITUTION: A piper separating device is provided with a positioning member 38 to hold a position relation between the paper separation device and a loaded topmost paper sheet 14 at a constant state and a slit separation unit 20 formed vertically movably corresponding to the loading position of the paper sheet. The slit separating unit comprises a sheet-form rubber 22 to limit the number of delivery paper sheets; an upper frame 24; a lower frame 26; an opening part slightly wider than the maximum width of the paper sheet; a tip guide 30 against which the forward end of the paper sheet is caused to butt for truing up; a slit part 42 wider than the thickness of a single paper sheet and wider than the thickness of two paper sheets; and a leaf spring 44 to guide the paper sheets delivered through the sheet-form rubber along an upper frame until a time right before the sheet reaches the slit part.</p> |
