PURPOSE: To enable a first case and a second case to be easily joined together or disjoined from each other by providing an engaging pawl which is engaged with a slide groove when the first and the second case are joined together or made to slide on the slide groove when the first and the second case are disjoined from each other. CONSTITUTION: Engaging ribs 11 each having a sliding groove 11a so inclined as to set its open end 11b higher are provided inside both lateral side walls of a first case 10. Engaging pawls 21 whose surfaces bearing against the sliding grooves 11a are inclined at the same angle with the sliding groove 11a are provided to a second case 20 at positions corresponding to those of the sliding grooves 11a. The sliding grooves 11a are engaged with the engaging pawls 21 when the first case 10 and the second case 20 are joined together, and the engaging pawl 21 is made to slide upwards on the sliding groove 11a bearing against the engaging rib 11 when the first case 10 and the second case 20 are disjoined from each other. By this setup, the first case 10 and the second case 20 are easily joined together or disjoined from each other, and an electronic equipment case of this constitution is improved in stable moisture resistance.
