FIELD: veterinary, virology, stomatology. SUBSTANCE: preparation ligavirin is obtained on the basis of plant raw (wood saw-dust, straw, sunflower husk) subjected for preliminary modification with xylotrophic fungus Pleurotus ostreatus followed by precipitation, washing and drying. Ligavirin is a complex compound consisting of peptides (12-21%) of the following amino acid composition, weight %: asp 14.8-20.5; thr 4.3-5.3; ser 4.8-5.3; glu 17.4-19.1; pro 6.2-7.1; gly 5.5-10.3; ala 5.9-6.4; val 5.3-5.8; met 0.8-1.1; ile 3.8-4.6; leu 8.0-8.8; tyr 1.1-1.4; phe 5.1-5.6; lys 2.0-2,2; his 3.0-3.3; arg 3.9-4.3; polysaccharide - 3-5% showing the following carbohydrate composition, weight %: glucose 15-40; xylose 60-80; rhamnose 2-4, and modified water-soluble lignin 75-85%.
