DEVICE FOR DETERMINATION OF BOUNDARY SURFACE PROFILE OF SOLID BODY IN FORM OF TOOTH

FIELD: stomatology; determination of parameters of tooth boundary surface. SUBSTANCE: device for determination of boundary surface profile of solid body in form of tooth has base 1 whose lateral guides 2 carry combined stage. Lower part 3 of the combined stage has longitudinal horizontal guides 10 on which upper part of stage 11 is installed for fixed motion in longitudinal direction. Horizontal guides 10 are located in mutually square direction to horizontal guides 10 are located in mutually square direction to horizontal guides 2 of base 1. Process working cycle is accomplished by fixed motion of investigated solid body 19, both, in longitudinal and in transverse direction for turning the body in horizontal plane by means of turning mechanism of rotating faceplate 15 with graduated scale 17. Determination of the coordinates of surface points of the solid body profile is carried out by means of needle-feeder gage made in form of movable cone 20 rigidly secured to the end piece of measuring head 21 rigidly attached to bracket 28. The latter is movable in vertical plane over guides of base post 24 installed in the eye of base 1 for fixed angular motion in vertical plane of fixed cross-section. EFFECT: determination of the profile of boundary surface of solid body in form of tooth with application of the modern measuring system which provides for the complete description of the profile by means of discrete sections and coordinate points of boundary lines makes it possible to develop a novel process system of anthropometric investigations with application of up-to-date means of graphical and analytic studies.
