PURPOSE: To obtain the subject aqueous medicine capable of perfectly curing dermatophytosis through its application once or twice. CONSTITUTION: This medicine for dermatophytosis consists mainly of a decoction of tobacco leaves, pref. shredded tobacco. Addition of 0.1wt.% of boric acid to this medicine prevents the propagation of putrefying bacteria and saprophytes. Application of the medicine is conducted as follows: the skin of a lesion is stripped after bathing and the lesion site is then dipped into the medicine in a vessel for 10-20min; thereby, the Trichophyton intruded into the nails can also be exterminated by its application once or twice. Strained lees of tobacco leaves left after taking a decoction is usable as an agricultural/horticultural insecticide/germicide for controlling armyworms, aphid, slugs, etc., and decoction after used can also be used for curing black spots. |
