Lobster pot made of plastics - has entry throat with flaps which float in water permitting lobster to enter but no escape

The lobster pot pref. made in plastic material, such as polyethylene, which is very resistant to sea water. It has a perforated plate base to which a cage is secured. A round hole in the top of the cage receives an entry throat (3) which is secured to the cage. The throat has a wide opening at the top and is narrower at the bottom. Two diametrically opposed bosses (6) provide housing for flaps (4). The flaps are pivotally mounted in the bosses and float in water. Out of the water the flaps drop allowing the pot to be baited readily and for removal of a lobster. In the water they prevent exit of a lobster which has entered the pot.
