MANUFACTURE OF METALLIC POROUS MATERIAL

PURPOSE: To provide a method for manufacturing a metallic porous material of extending a life of plating liquid and improving a characteristic of electric resistance, tensile strength, etc. CONSTITUTION: A method comprises a step of activating after additionally providing a catalyst in a porous insulator, step of drying the activated insulator and a step of reactivating the dried insulator. The method comprises a step of successively applying electroless plating to the reactivated insulator thereafter further applying electric plating to form a metal layer in a surface of the porous insulator and a step of removing the porous insulator by combustion with only the metal layer left.
