PURPOSE: To provide a method of storage at a low cost, without deteriorating performauce, hydrogen storage alloy powder which is a material of a hydrogen storage alloy electrode in a nickel hydrogen alkaline secondary battery. CONSTITUTION: Hydrogen storage alloy powder is preserved in a condition that brought into contact with a water solution formed by fusing a water soluble high molecualr compound in ion exchange water or distilled water. As the used high melecular compound, at least one kind, selected from a group of carboxymethyl cellulose, methyl cellulose, polyvinyl alcohol, water glass and synthetic rubber latex, is preferable. |
