PURPOSE: To provide an alkaline storage battery of low internal resistance and high discharge voltage suitable for the discharge of a large amount of current by providing a connecting conductor having the capability of concurrently reducing types of resistance due to a connection plate and a terminal plate. CONSTITUTION: This alkaline storage battery has a plate group formed out a positive electrode plate and a negative electrode plate spirally wound via a separator, and the projection of the positive or negative electrode plate is formed at least on one end of the plate group. Also, the battery has a connecting conductor formed out of terminal plates 1 welded to the projections at a plurality of positions and connection plates 2 and 3 extended from the plates 1 as integral part thereof. In addition, the conductor has connection plates extended from the plates 1 along 'n' directions ('n': integer equal to 3 or more). |
