EXTRACT OF CRATAEGUS, PROCESS FOR PRODUCING IT AND ITS USE

A special extract from the leaves, flowers and/or fruit of Crataegus monogyna or Crataegus oxyacantha is produced by extraction with a prior art extraction agent, making an aqueous solution of the extract, heating the aqueous solution to form high-molecular condensable flavanes and filtering the components thrown down on heating. The extract thus produced is particularly pharmaceutically effective and is suitable in particular of the treatment of allergic diseases and even non-allergic asthma.
