PURPOSE: To display an additional split screen by using a simple constitution without any necessity to change the conventional controller. CONSTITUTION: A controller 2 controls the raster address to read the data of background screen from the area 201 of the raster memory 20 for background screen and displays it on a display device 5 and then designates the address of the area 202 for split screen to read the data for split screen and display it on a display device 5. A comparison circuit 34 compares the count value of a counter 33 with the values which show the starting and finishing addresses of the additional split screen, and, based on the results of this comparison, an address generation circuit 35 designates the address of an area 203 for additional split screen to display the additional split screen on the display device 5. |
