PURPOSE: To simultaneously output the video signals of two kinds of aspect ratios while a transmission speed from a camera head to a camera control unit is fixed and to monitor the video signals of both aspect ratios by a view finder. CONSTITUTION: At the time of performing transmission from the camera head 21 to the camera control unit(CCU) 22, by transmitting the video signals to the CCU 22 without passing them through an aspect converter 24, the need of changing the transmission speed is eliminated even when the aspect ratio is switched for monitoring and the aspect converter 25 capable of outputting the video signals whose aspects are mutually different is provided in the CCU 22. The video signals of one aspect ratio are aspect-converted for a first time in the converter 25 and double aspect conversion is evaded. |
