ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHIC PHOTORECEPTOR

PURPOSE: To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor which does not form unequal images of interference fringe patterns with an electrophotographic device using single wavelength light as exposing light, is easily producible and is inexpensive. CONSTITUTION: This electrophotographic photoreceptor is formed by using a conductive substrate having such surface shape that the ratio Rv /Rp between the height Rp of the peaks and depth Rv of the valleys of the ruggedness obtd. from its filter central line waving curve is >=1.1, the distance between the adjacent peak and peak is 0.01 to 0.2mm and the difference in level (Rmax ) between the peak and the valley is <=3.0μm. The substrate surface is finished by at least two stags of cutting by a diamond cutting tool. A more adequate result is obtd. if the ruggedness obtd. from the filter central line waving curve of the surface is the shape obtd. by superposing the fine ruggedness on the relatively large ruggedness.
