PURPOSE: To prevent a string-like seal member from projecting from a seal member storage groove and to prevent this seal member from being caught between divided faces of sleeves not to damage the airtightness of a closure for communication cable there. CONSTITUTION: After string-like seal members S are set in grooves 3a, 3a', 3b, and 3b' arranged on divided faces 2a, 2a', 2b, and 2b' of sleeves 1a and 1b, divided faces of two sleeves 1a and 1b are joined to assemble a closure R for communication cable. In this closure R, string-like seal members S are provided with notched recessed parts, and a seal member which can plastically deform and has a proper adhesive strength is arranged in notched recessed parts so that surfaces of seal members 3 are approximately flush with them. |
