TRANSMISSION SYSTEM WITH OPTICAL AMPLIFIER

PURPOSE: To provide the optical transmission system of a wavelength division/ multiplex light signal channel, which can compensate the change of a gain owing to the wavelength of optical amplifiers that are vertically connected. CONSTITUTION: One group of wavelength division/multiplex light signal channels are constituted of one group of mutually exclusive sub-sets by containing at least one signal channel. The system contains the optical amplifiers 14 and 15 which are cascade connected and the optical amplifiers contain at least another one amplifier 15 connected with the plural amplifiers 14 which are respectively amplified in a transmission line common to one group of signal channels. The amplifier 15 is constituted of plural amplifiers 15b which are respectively amplified in one group of transmission lines allocated to the respective sub-sets of the signal channels. They compensate the difference of the gains of the common amplifiers 14.
