PURPOSE: To enhance the heat resistance and improve constructing performance without fuming by compression-laminating sheet members on the peripheral surface of a pipe body within a specific density range to form cylindrical shape. CONSTITUTION: A coated pipe is provided with a cylindrical pipe body, a mat part with thickness dimension of 10-25mm provided on the peripheral surface of the pipe body, and an aluminum layer provided on the peripheral surface of the mat part. The mat part contains silicon oxide (SiO2 ): 38-44wt.%, aluminum oxide (Al2 O3 ): 10-15wt.%, calcium oxide (CaO): 30-38wt.% and magnesium oxide (MgO): 4-8wt.%. Rock fiber of 4-7μm in average fiber diameter is accumulated on felt sheet like sheet members by a binder of 0.3-1.0wt.%. This sheet member is compression-laminated with the density of 180-300kg/m<3> on the peripheral surface of the pipe body to form cylindrical shape.
