PURPOSE: To provide a solenoid valve where the part not contributing to the magnetic attraction force in the magnetic flux circuit is eliminated, the sectional area of the windings of the electromagnetic coil is sufficiently large, the magnetic attraction force is large, and the whole shape is compact. CONSTITUTION: An electromagnetic coil 34 is coiled around the outer circumference of a fixed iron core 33 in a yoke 32 to constitute a fixed side magnetic pole part 31, and the sectional area of the windings of the electromagnetic coil 34 is sufficiently large. The magnetic flux generated from the electromagnetic coil 34 passes a magnetic flux circuitβfrom the fixed iron core 33 through the yoke 32, and through the clearance A1 between a movable core 44 and the yoke, and transmitted to a movable iron core 44, and again through the clearance B1 between the yoke and the fixed iron core 33 and returns to the fixed iron core 33. The electromagnetic circuitβhas no part contributing to the magnetic attraction such as a non-magnetic tube, and sufficiently large magnetic attraction force can be obtained. The movable iron core 44 arranged in a valve box 37 attracts the fixed iron core 33 and the yoke 32 by exciting the electromagnetic coil 34, to separate a valve element 41 from a valve seat 42 and open the passage from an inlet port 39 to an outlet port 40.
