GENERAL-PURPOSE SIGNAL CONDITIONER

PURPOSE: To provide the real time processing capacity of a multiplex digital signal processor without the need for an expensive multiport device and to provide technology for allowing a multiplex serial device to interface with single serial data and reducing the number of communication lines crossing with barriers. CONSTITUTION: A signal conditioner 10 has more than two multiplex digital signal processors DSP#1-#4 sharing a high speed data bus. The arbitration control circuit of a bus control circuit 44 makes it secure that the bus is not permitted by a specified digital signal processor until a completed sample is prepared. The signal conditioner uses a programmable bus arbitration system between a local controller and a central processing unit guaranteeing that any device has the bus against the prescribed number of accesses and communication transfer is facilitated. Especially, such communication transfer gives a rise code to the local controller and constitutes the multiplex digital signal processor.
