<p>PURPOSE: To lighten the load on a bat and its fulcrum of rotation by arranging a specific stopping means which stops a hammer assembly from rotating in a string non-stroke musical performance between a hammer shank and a damper mechanism. CONSTITUTION: The hammer assembly 8 is locked at its initial position by normally making the hammer shank 5 abut against a hammer rail across a felt. The stopping means 56 which stops the hammer assembly 8 from rotating right before a string stroke in the string non-stroke musical performance is arranged between the damper mechanism 9 and hammer assembly 8. This stopping means 56 consists of plural brackets 60, a rotary shaft 61, a plate 62, a shock absorbing member 63 formed of the felt, etc., a couple of damper shock absorbing members 64A and 64B, etc. In this case, the plate 62 is fitted to the rotary shaft 61 and the shock absorbing member 63 is provided atop of it to receive and stop the hammer shank 5 above the rotary shaft 61 in the string non-stroke musical performance.</p> |
