PURPOSE: To provide a residual toner detecting device, a process cartridge and an image forming device, capable of accurately detecting a residual amount without causing a failure in cleaning, even if a cleaning member is deflected, in a light transmission system residual toner detection. CONSTITUTION: The residual toner detecting device for detecting the remaining amount of the toner in a toner housing part 10a is provided with a toner housing part 10a housing the toner, light transmission window members 17a and 17b provided in the toner housing part 10a, a cleaning member 18 for sweeping/ cleaning the light transmission window members 17a and 17b and photosensors 16a and 16b operated so as to pass light through the toner housing part 10a with the light transmission members 17a and 17b. In the contact part of the members 17a and 17b with the cleaning member 18, the member 17a and 17b or the cleaning member 18 is formed in a projected shape. The process cartridge and the image forming device for attaining the above mechanism are constituted. |
