PURPOSE: To prevent a POP-jammed sheet from being torn and left when drawn out. CONSTITUTION: The device is equipped with a cleaner 15a arranged further downstream than a transfer position Po in the direction in which the surface of an image carrier 9 moves, and a destaticizing corotron 14. The destaticizing corotron 14 is provided with a front insulation block formed on an inclined guide face which is arranged between the transfer position Po and the cleaner 15a, supports the front end of a corotron wire extending along the surface of the image carrier 9 in its axial direction, and becomes further from the surface of the image carrier 9 as its surface facing the image carrier 9 extends backward, so as to prevent a sheet S which has entered between the image carrier 9 and itself from being caught when drawn out forward. |
