PURPOSE: To realize steady electrification even in a change in the characteristic of a contact electrification means with temperature and humidity changes. CONSTITUTION: The device is provided with an electrode 4 which is in contact with an electrifying member 2, and a constant voltage is applied between them by means of a DC power source 22. A current flowing in the electrode is detected to obtain the resistance value of the electrifying member 2, and an electrification voltage which is applied to the electrifying member 2 is compensated for. The resistance value of the electrifying member 2 is estimated by detecting a force acting on an permanent magnet arranged near the electrifying member 2. A sample made of the same material is set near the electrifying member 2, and the resistance value of the sample is measured to estimate the resistance of the electrifying member 2. |
