PURPOSE: To provide the three-dimensional drawing device which obtain z buffer algorithm with a small-capacity memory. CONSTITUTION: A converting means 4 compresses the 1st depth information output of t pixel generating means 3 to output 2nd depth information, and information read out of the memory of a z buffer 3 corresponding to the coordinate output of the pixel generating means 3 one to one si regarded as a 3rd depth information output. A comparing means 6 compares the 2nd depth information output with the 3rd depth information output; only when the 2nd depth information output indicates a position closer to a view point than the 3rd depth information output, a writing means 7 writes the color information output of the pixel generating means 3 in the memory of the frame buffer 1 corresponding to the coordinate output of the pixel generating means 3 one to one and a writing means 8 writes the 2nd depth information in the memory of the z buffer 2. When not, neither writing means 7 nor the writing means 8 operates. |
