PURPOSE: To excellently maintain the movability of toner from the toner recovering space in the vicinity of a blade tip end part to the toner storage space. CONSTITUTION: The cleaning device provided with the cleaning blade for recovering the toner stuck on the image carrier surface 2 by holding the lower side edge part 21a of the blade 21 tip end part in contact with the upper part surface of the image carrier and scraping off the toner on the image carrier surface, and the toner container 23 furnished with the toner recovering space 23a in the vicinity of the blade tip end part in which the toner recovered by the blade tip end part is contained in the first place and the toner storage space 23b arranged at a distance from the toner recovering space, is equipped with the wire electrode 26 extended along the blade tip end part for applying the wire vibration voltage and the discharge grounding electrode 28 arranged along the wire electrode, at the position in the vicinity of the blade tip end part of the toner recovering space being out of contact with the image carrier and the cleaning blade. |
