PURPOSE: To switch the direction of rotation of an output shaft and to switch driving and braking of the shaft using a simple structure and at low cost by causing a switch knob a portion of which projects from a housing having two microswitches to move back and forth in the directions of its rotation and of its axis. CONSTITUTION: A switch knob 9 is rotated through a fixed range, and a locking portion on a ring 10 and another locking portion on a case 5 rotate as they abut to each other at a spring 11, thereby indicating a position 12 of normal rotation, a position 14 of reverse rotation, and an off position 13 while imparting slight shock. When the knob 9 is pressed at the position 12, a claw 9c at its end turns on a microswitch 6 for normal rotation, thereby turning a motor 2 in the normal direction. When finger is released the claw 9c is returned to its original position by the resiliency of the spring 11 and the motor 2 stops. When the knob 9 is pressed at the position 14, the motor 2 is likewise rotated in the reverse direction via a microswitch 7 for reverse rotation. At the position 13 the claw cannot reach any microswitches and the motor 2 is held in a stopped state as before. |
