PURPOSE: To ensure the reliability of a system while avoiding stoppage of the whole system, even when communication fails in parts of communication signal lines. CONSTITUTION: In regard to an air-conditioning system provided with outdoor- indoor communication signal lines 7 for transmission and reception of control signals between outdoor control units 5 and indoor control units 6 and equipped with a centralized controller 9 connected to the outdoor-indoor communication signal lines 7 by a centralized control signal line 10 so as to control outdoor and indoor unit 3, 4,... in a centralized manner, the communication signal lines 7 and 10 falling in a communication failure are cut off from a system when the communication failure occurs in parts of the communication signal lines 7 and 10, while the state of communication in normal communication channels is maintained and operations in these parts are continued. |
