PURPOSE: To provide a TCP mounting method obtainable of sufficient mounting accuracy and preventable of lowering the operation rate of a TCP mounting device. CONSTITUTION: LCD 1 is horizontally shifted from the focus range of a camera 4, and an alignment object 18 on a TCP side is thereby put in the focus range within the vision field of the camera 4, and observed for obtaining the position of TCP 17. TCP 17 is vertically elevated as a horizontal position where TCP 17 has been observed is maintained, and thereby put out of the focus range of the camera 4, and at the same time, LCD 1 is horizontally moved, and an alignment object 2 on the side of LCD is thereby put in the focus range of the camera 4, and observed for obtaining the position of LCD 1. On the basis of both their obtained positions, LCD 1 and TCP 17 are relatively horizontally moved to correct their positions, and TCP 17 is vertically lowered as a horizontal position where TCP 17 has been observed is maintained for mounting TCP 17 to LCD 1. |
