PURPOSE: To easily standardize the classifications by requesting specific ID address data to each medium from a read/write(R/W) unit at the beginning of transmission/reception operation to surely transmit and receive data to and from all mediums. CONSTITUTION: The R/W unit transmits an indication command of general response to mediums when a medium holder is detected by a sensor 15. When receiving the specific ID address data which is first normally received from reception data transmitted from the medium, the R/W unit uses this specific ID address data to transmit and receive data to and from only one of plural mediums. When this transmission/reception is terminated, the R/W unit transmits a sleep mode command to this medium. If specific ID address data cannot be normally received, the R/W unit transmits the indication command of general response after the time of a delay timer when detecting radiation of a radio wave from the medium, namely, turning-on of a carrier signal from the reception part of a communication circuit 16. |
