摘要

PURPOSE: To store and send a data signal while copy right of ciphered broadcast data is protected. CONSTITUTION: A ciphered broadcast data signal received by a communication satellite is decoded by a decoder 409 and reproduced by a reproducing device 410. The decoded signal is ciphered again by a ciphering device 411 and stored in a storage device 413 or sent to an external device at the outside of the processing unit. Since the data are subject to 2nd ciphering in the case of storage and transmission of the decoded broadcast data, illegal use by copy is difficult and the data are stored in the storage device for use while protecting copy right of data.
