<p>PURPOSE: To obtain the pointing device in structure which is as plane as possible. CONSTITUTION: The pointing device is provided with a couple of an X- directional slider 4 and a Y-directional slider 5 which can move in the X- direction and Y-direction along the guide frame 2 of a device fixation part, an X-directional detector 8 and a Y-directional detector 9 which can detect the movement quantities of the X-directional slider 4 and Y-directional slider 5 are added to the X-directional slider 4 and Y-directional slider 5, and a Y- directional slot 4a and an X-directional slot 5a which extend in the Y-direction and X-direction are formed in the X-directional slider 4 and Y-directional slider 5. A slide button 5 is formed penetrating the intersection part of those Y- directional slot 4a and X-directional slot 5a so that it can be moved to an optional position in the XY plane with a finger tip, and the movement quantity of a cursor is given by moving the slide button 6.</p> |
