<p>The invention refers to a process for preparing triphenyltrifluoropropanes and -propenes of formula III in which a 2-phenyl-3,3,3-trifluoropropiophenone derivative is reacted with bromobenzene under the conditions of the Grignard's reaction, and, if desired, a triphenyltrifluoropropane obtained is dehydrated to give a corresponding triphenyltrifluoropropane. The invention also refers to novel triphenyltrifluoropropanes and -propenes as well as novel 2-phenyl-3,3,3-trifluoropropiophenones used as intermediates.</p> |
