PURPOSE: To suppress a write stroke proper to a plasma address display panel. CONSTITUTION: This display device is equipped with the plasma address display panel 1, a plasma driving circuit 2 and a display driving circuit 3. The plasma address display panel 1 is formed in such structure that a display cell equipped with a columnar signal electrode is superimposed on a plasma cell equipped with a row shape discharge channel via a common dielectric sheet. The plasma driving circuit 2 addresses the display cell in line sequence via the dielectric sheet by driving the discharge channel sequentially. The display driving circuit 3 supplies an image signal to the signal electrode in synchronism with a line sequential address, and writes the image signal on each pixel regulated on a cross part with the discharge channel. The display device 5 is also equipped with a correction circuit 4, and negates a crosstalk between the pixels due to the thickness of the dielectric sheet by supplying the image signal to the display driving circuit 3 after applying correction arithmetic processing. It is desirable that a correction arithmetic operation is adjusted adaptively corresponding to the luminance or saturation of a displayed image by the correction circuit 4, and the amplitude of the image signal can be kept constant. |
