<p>PURPOSE: To provide a process for producing color filter in which formed with fine patterns of multiple colors of a uniform thickness and high accuracy are formed on a substrate, and which has good follow-up characteristic and workability of a photosensitive film and has excellent heat resistance. CONSTITUTION: This process for producing the color filter comprises forming the multicolor patterns on a transparent substrate 4 by repeating stages including at least (1) a stage for sticking the photosensitive film consisting of a base film 1 and a photosensitive resin layer 2 colored to one color in such a manner that the colored photosensitive resin layer 2 faces the substrate 4, (2) a stage for exposing this film in the form of patterns and (3) a developing stage. The substrates 4 for the second and subsequent colors and/or the colored photosensitive resin layers 2 are treated with water and thereafter the photosensitive films are stuck to each other by forming spaces 5 between pixels in such a manner that the colored photosensitive resin layers 2 face the substrates 4. The process described above includes a stage for transferring the photosensitive resin layers 2 for the second and subsequent colors from the base films 1 to the space 5 between the pixels by heating between the stages (1) and (3).</p> |
